Spar Towns Tea Towel

The Spar Towns Tea Towel is a celebration of that Great British tradition of hanging around the local Spar shop as a teenager hoping someone old enough will buy you some cigarettes and booze.

Each fold of this exquisite tea towel tells the story of mundane suburbia, looking for that edge of excitement, which just happens to be the local Spar. Turns out they are even available in the ‘Towns of Water’, otherwise known as Spa Towns, so  you can probably buy a bottle of Malvern Spa spring water in Bath Spar. Except you can’t because they no longer bottle it. Oh well.

People visit spas to "take the waters" for their purported health benefits. People visit Spars to “take the cider” for their purported fun benefits.

Not only is this a unique gift, but it is also hand screen printed by us in our Deptford studio. Sadly no Spar shops nearby, we have to make do with a Londis.

The tea towel comes packaged in a paper belly band and will be wrapped in tissue paper and posted in an envelope that will fit through a letterbox.
